FOCUS AREA: MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS

TYPES OF MOTORCYCLES

Do to their uniquely small size and mobility, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, and other sport bikes react differently in a crash - and the unprotected riders are vulnerable to more serious injuries. Because of this innate vulnerability, sport bike motorcycles are also more likely to result in wrongful death or leave victims incapacitated with a severe brain injury or spinal cord injury.

The maker of Ducati bikes has had its share of safety concerns already – some 2003 models were recalled because the front brake hose sometimes became trapped between the lower steering flange and the steering lock peg when the vehicle was cornering. If you've been injured in a Ducati motorcycle accident, you know firsthand the hurdles that innocent riders and/or bystanders can face.

There are ongoing investigations on behalf of motorcyclists who have been injured as a result of what is called "high-speed wobble" or "tank-slapper" accidents on Harley-Davidson motorcycles. These types of accidents happen when the front end of the bike shakes and becomes unstable at high speed, causing the driver to potentially lose control of the bike and suffer serious injuries. The results can be devastating.
