MICHAEL ALAMO

Michael Alamo was born in New Jersey and has been a Member of the Florida Bar since 1998.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Florida State University. He also attended graduate school at Columbia University in New York. 

Mr. Alamo attended law school at Texas Wesleyan University and finished his legal studies at University of Miami School of Law.  As a law student, he was an editor of the University of Miami Law Review.

Mr. Alamo began his legal career as a Prosecutor in the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.  As a prosecutor, Mr. Alamo successfully prosecuted thousands of DUI cases ranging from simple DUI to complex DUI blood and injury cases.  He has over 25 jury trials to his credit as a prosecutor.  Mr. Alamo was assigned to many divisions within the State Attorney’s Office and prosecuted crimes ranging from suspended license, drug possession, theft, battery, and domestic violence. 

After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Alamo concentrated his practice on representing injury victims with the idea of providing personal and professional service to each of his clients.  Since he founded the law firm of Alamo & O’Toole, P.A., he has successfully defended hundreds of cases as a defense attorney. 

Mr. Alamo has a proven track record of getting cases dismissed and winning tough cases as a criminal defense attorney.  Although he is the senior partner, he still takes time to get to know every one of his clients.
